▀ Uber Driver Turns In Bank Robbing Fare (Idaho Falls, ID)
A BANK HEIST was thwarted by a vigilant Uber driver.
At around 6 p.m. on Tuesday a bank teller pressed a panic alarm from inside the Idaho Central Credit Union on South 15th Street.
A woman was inside attempting to withdraw $10,000 from another person’s account using a stolen ID.
By the time the first officer arrived at the bank — he noticed a woman walking toward a white GMC Terrain parked directly in front of the branch.
He attempted to gain her attention but the woman — later identified as Wendy Bess — was unwilling to respond.
She allegedly tried to zip away.
The officer attemtped to to convince Bess to stop the car and he then reached into the open window to unlock the door.
That prompted Bess to hit the gas and the officer was dragged 50 feet.
Bess rolled the car through a rough patch of the lot before heading off with a convoy of cops behind.
She was last seen fleeing east on West 49th South tipping 80 MPH and blowing through several stop signs, smashing fences and heading into oncoming traffic forcing cars off the roadway.
Police pulled off their pursuit.
But Bess didn’t manage to get a clean getaway. She ditched the car at a home that aroused suspicion from neighbors. By the time troopers and deputies scoped for her — she was in the wind.
While looking for Bess or any clues to her whereabouts — an Uber driver approached officers and recounted him giving a lift to a woman nearby a tree line where Bess had parted with the GMC Terrain.
The line on the 50-year-old bandit from Texas was critical in tracking her down and booking her.
They soon learned that Bess had not only tried knocking off the Idaho Central Credit Union — but also two other banks for the same ten band sum that same day.
Bess faces felony battery on an officer, two counts felony attempted grand theft, grand theft, felony eluding, and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing.

BACKTALK:
Clarice Beth: Turn them over to ICE.
Shaun Stout: It's amazing how law enforcement always pulls over the car that turns in to having a record amount of narcotics, quite often, just lucky i guess. Out how many thousands of cars each day?
Trevor Sanders (responding to^): The real number is not how many you catch, but how many you don't...
Shari N Stanley Sandahl: That’d certainly put a crimp in I-5 being a main drug corridor.
Chad Kloozman: Must've been high on their own supply and couldn't keep their foot off the gas
Kismet Peel TheBannana: so they couldn't play it cool while transporting all that cocaine huh? idiots lol.
Charlzdolf Bauer: Seven pounds is a decent sized fish..GOOD CATCH! Hope you prepped it right
Snakeboot Nuggetshooter: Now that's a good bust. Leave the cannabis alone and go after the real problems
